Improving the Accountability of SVLK by Strengthening the Authority of Independent Forest Monitoring (IFM) in SVLK Regulations
Independent Forest Monitoring has entered its sixth year in ensuring that SVLK is accountable and running smoothly. During that time, Independent Forest Monitors (IFM) have faced many challenges. This working paper proposes strengthening the authority and capacity of IFM through improving regulations on SVLK and Independent Forest Monitors, specifically on the security protection and the funding model, which should increase SVLK accountability in the future.
